The way it goes some days

Got up at 6.30am with B often she is climbing into bed with me at 6am or earlier and I try to make myself get out of bed a bit before 7 so I can do some Yoga. Settled B with her breakfast and started my Yoga I'm attempting to incorporate my physio for my back with my regular routine. J joined me at 7.30 and we had a go at some postures together she liked cobra, dog and locust. We had a look at the yoga pretzels card and she chose a balanced practice, we did all together and then I carried on with my routine till 8ish and J went off to draw and then I listened to her count to 100 while I had my breakfast! She informed me she had counted to 1100 before falling asleep last night! She picks up the colouring number cards and starts wiping them clean to reuse with the marker. I leave her to it while I grab a shower. When I return after getting dressed J has counted 100 oranges on the card and says she can eat 50 buns, 50 gingerbread biscuits and 50 cakes! then she works out 5 rows of 10 make 50 and then begins to count up in tens. I point out the times table poster on the wall and we look at the fives too.

I tell her I'm going to go make a cup of tea and she says she'll make it so I chat to her in the kitchen while she does this for me
(brilliant she loves making tea for everyone)
I show her a spanish book my Mum gave me and after the tea is made she looks through it and sticks blu tac on the body parts then asks me what each part is in Spanish and English. She shows me her drawing of a farm scene with farmers wife, discussion on women can be farmers too! Shows me the dark sky of impending storm. I head upstairs to check on B leaving J to carry on with her picture. B is playing in the playroom with the cars and garage and S is still asleep in the bedroom.
I play 'how far will my car go?' with B, this involves holding each car at the top of the garage calling 1..2..3..go and letting go and seeing where they end up on the car mat. Lots of chatting with cars and looking at places they can go on the mat.
J comes up and gets her dinosaur jigsaw to bring through for me to help her with. Talk about perspective T Rex in the foreground, Diplodocus in the background. Discuss different dinosaurs J fetches her poster I read off the descriptions, talk about size to humans. S wakes up at 9am comes for a cuddle, gets dressed during dino talk. J & S head down to breakfast me and B clean our teeth

It may read quite like one long monologue but isn't amazing what is learned in a couple of hours!
Love Home ed :)
