What an amazing day for my amazing daughter

My superstar S asked to 'go to the countryside' for her birthday! She picked a truly gorgeous place to go Robin Hood's Stride in Derbyshire.

A fantastic place for rock climbing steeped in ancient history

Arriving in convoy with her friends we carried all the party stuff across the fields tying balloons to trees along the way for our later arrivals!
We made our base camp amongst the rocks laying out food to feed treble the amount of kids there! (72 breadcakes are you sure there will be enough food!) The kids climbed, played with all the presents blew bubbles, threw acorns, swung on trees, explored caves and grazed on the loadsa food all day!
I was so impressed with all the kids playing together, looking after each other and making it such a brilliant day. We even got a fly over by the red arrows who were doing a show over Chatsworth they banked over us so close we could almost see the pilots! Unfortunately too fast for my camera and I missed them doing a heart in the sky for Summer I had pressed the wrong mode so was filming my face lol!
We are so lucky to have such lovely friends adults and children alike we all had a great time. Acorn war was very funny started by Lee with a few choice hits on my back! Shame I'm such a rubbish throw I couldn't even hit him at close range it soon had all of us dodging between rocks firing acorns at each other! Best party game ever!
Even the walk back to the cars was special and such a lovely finish to the day to nip over to the Rowtor rocks behind the druid inn nice to finish off the day at a country pub : ).
