What a fab day at our 'Not back to school picnic!'
South Yorkshire Home Edders turned out to the Peace Gardens in Sheffield armed with bubble makers of all shapes and sizes to raise awareness of Home Education and our objections to the Home Education Review.
Despite the grey weather the air was rainbow coloured with hundreds of bubbles floating all over the peace gardens. The children had a wonderful time chasing, blowing and popping bubbles, playing with their friends and for some getting wet in the fountains! Parents chatted to each other and anyone who asked what we were all doing!!
The Star turned up and got an earful from some who had brought along their collapsible soap boxes lol! My kids absolutely loved it and we hope it got the message across that we are not hidden just because we home educate.
