Choose Day!

Sundays were getting a bit mad in our house. After a late night for me and Lee we would try to drag ourselves out on a Sunday to do a 'family thing' which more often than not went pear shaped. On lovely days everyone has the same idea so getting out to anywhere became a stressful journey and not all family members could agree on where and what to do!

So we came up with the idea of Sunday becoming a day when we can choose what we want to do, each person has the choice of whatever they want to do. The first Sunday we did this it went a little bit wrong as we ended up watching 4 films and the Grand Prix ouch! what a headache by the end of the day lol. So I made a rule that only 1 film could be chosen and we would take it in turns each week. If anyone didn't want to do what another chose they didn't have to, but funnily enough even when I chose to go Blackberrying in our nearby woods everyone wanted to come!
Today S chose the film, I chose to go to the woods to get conkers, J chose to play football in the garden, Lee of course chose the Grand Prix (luckily it was on before the kids woke up!) He also did a wonderful Sunday dinner and B chose to have lots of play! we all helped to sort out the Generals new luxury apartment so even the Rabbit got to choose today!

                                                                                            

My parents love it as they ask every Saturday when we see them what we are going to choose. J told them a while ago about it saying 'its choose day tomorrow' to which they replied 'no dear its Sunday!'
